Our mission at In The Lord's Service is to bring Christ's love to others through personal acts of service.

In The Lord's Service is a united team of Christian volunteers ready and willing to serve others. Our goal is to encourage Christians to reach out to people in love and help meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs in the name of Jesus Christ. ITLS is here to help bring people together and enable Christians to make a difference in other's lives.

ITLS also reaches out to help other Christians in need of help. Both Christians being served and Christian volunteers are edified through this service. We are asked by Jesus to love and take care of each other, to encourage and support one another as one body in Christ.

Who ITLS Serves:  ITLS is open to anyone in the areas where we serve who is in need of help. We provide one on one service to people with needs. We can also send a group of volunteers to help with bigger jobs. We do not provide any financial support, only services a volunteer can perform.

Who We Are: ITLS is a corporation of the state of Colorado with tax-exempt (501c3) status from the IRS. Our board of directors includes Carlene Toy (president), Larry Toy (Vice President) Randy McKinley (Secretary) and Nancy Henderlong (Treasurer).

How It Works: We have a software database that holds information from Christian volunteers on their talents, experiences and availability to perform service work.

Our coordinators have the volunteer database on a laptop computer. They also have a cell phone to accept calls for help.

When a call comes in, like a request from a single mother who is sick and needs help with meals and care for her children, the coordinator will go to the software and bring up all volunteers who listed child care or meal preparation as their chosen services. The coordinator will also look at the volunteer's availability and then make some phone calls until they can find an appropriate match.

Types Of Services Performed: Here is a sample of the services provided by our volunteers:
Outdoor Skills: lawn care, minor auto repair, snow shoveling, painting, moving furniture
Indoor Skills: house cleaning, providing meals, minor carpentry, handy man repair, house sitting
Personal Care: home visitation for sick or shut-in, transportation, befriending new people, run errands
Skills Teaching: budget, basic PC, tutoring, pet care, cooking, baking
