I am a Pastor or Church Member and I want to know why I should include In The Lord's Service as a ministry of my church.

Advantages of Having ITLS in My Church
In The Lord's Service brings many benefits to a church and it's congregation. First, it offers an opportunity for all people to be involved in ministry, no matter what their skills or spiritual gifts. Many people don't fit into the typical church ministries like music, children's church, Sunday school teachers or Elders. ITLS has 90 areas where volunteers can sign up to serve. These are all nonprofessional services that everyday people can perform.

Second, through the outreach of your congregation serving people in the community, more unchurched people will find their way to your church. Many people after being helped by a volunteer want to know more about the faith of a person who would give of themselves to help another without asking for anything in return.

ITLS provides a central place for people with needs in the congregation. We organize and provide meals for people recovering from injuries or illnesses. We help many from our congregation who are going through tough times.

ITLS also helps to strengthen the faith of those who serve. It is hard to stay spiritually stagnant when you are actively serving the Lord. Many of our volunteers have found more satisfaction in their walk with the Lord as they actively serve Him and fulfill His plan for their lives.

What Will ITLS Provide My Church?

  • We run and administer the ministry.
  • We will present ITLS to your congregation. A presentation will take no longer than 10 minutes and can be done during the regular church services.
  • We will provide the brochures, business cards and volunteer sign up sheets for your church.
  • We will provide the initial training for all volunteers from your congregation. We suggest that it be performed in a meeting room in your church. A representative from your church may wish to take over for future training sessions if you wish, otherwise we will continue to train future volunteers.
  • We provide the coordinators who have the cell phone and laptop computer. They take all incoming calls and perform the matches for the volunteers with the people in need.
  • We provide quarterly newsletters to all volunteers and the churches.
  • We provide and distribute brochures placed within the community.

Statement of Faith
To include ITLS as a ministry of your church you must first believe and sign our Statement of Faith (SOF) as being the basic doctrine taught in your church. This SOF addresses the principle faith doctrine of the Bible. It does not address issues that are not critical to the faith. If you as the leader of your church cannot sign this SOF for your church, then unfortunately ITLS cannot be a ministry of your church. Please review this SOF and make this determination before you proceed further.

What Will This Cost My Church?
If your community does not have ITLS started in any of the Christian churches then first go to our page on starting ITLS in my town. To see if ITLS is currently a ministry within your community then go to the page where we serve.

If ITLS is functioning in at least one Christian church in your community then it is very easy for you to include it in your church and the cost is simple. All we ask is that you commit to supplying a monthly donation for one year. We do not tell you what that donation should be. You know what your budget can afford and we ask that you seek God's guidance in coming up with an amount.
